Lexington Legends News Release
(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) The Lexington Legends are looking for talented, high-energy individuals to be members of the promotions team and to serve as Big L and other team mascots and characters during the 2014 season.
The promotions team assists the Legends' staff with on-field promotions during each home game. Team members should enjoy interacting with fans throughout the ballpark, particularly as fans enter and leave the park. College-age women are encouraged to apply.
Mascots and Legends' characters, such as Big L, must maintain excellent interaction with fans, especially children, and must be able to improvise and entertain.
"The promotions team and mascots bring to life all the fun that occurs every inning of every home game," said Sarah Bosso, the Legends director of community relations and special events. "It is vital we fill these roles with energetic and enthusiastic young folks. You want to talk about the ultimate summer job, this is it!"
Promotions team members and mascots must be available to work a majority of the Legends' 70 home games between April 3 and August 28. Work schedules will include nights, weekends and holidays.
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Those interested should contact Sarah Bosso at 859-422-7855 or sbosso@lexingtonlegends.com, or Brent Billings at 859-422-7854 or bbillings@lexingtonlegends.com.
