Lexington Legends News Release
(LEXINGTON, Ky. - January 27, 2006) - The Lexington Legends are featured on the cover of the Lexington edition of The Real Yellow Pages from BellSouth. Lexington's leading directory honored the Legends with a presentation at Applebee's Park, commemorating the teams cover photo. Mayor Teresa Isaac accepted a commemorative plaque from BellSouth on behalf of the City of Lexington.
"Everyone at The Real Yellow Pages is pleased to feature Legends Baseball on the cover of our 2006 directory. Showcasing the Legends on the cover of Lexington's and the Southeast's leading yellow pages directory, promotes Legends Baseball and illustrates the wonderful partnership between BellSouth, the team, and the entire community," said Dave Weller, Regional Manager for BellSouth.
Beginning in late January, more than 445,000 copies of The Real Yellow Pages will begin distribution throughout the Lexington area.
This year's directory distribution, which includes the White and Yellow Pages, CD-rom and smaller companion directory, will have an initial delivery of four weeks, with new businesses and residents receiving directories throughout the year.
In addition to the Lexington, The Real Yellow Pages will include business listings from Ford, Georgetown, Midway, Mt. Sterling, Nicholasville, Paris, Pilot View, Sadieville, Stamping Ground, Stanton, Versailles, Wilmore and Winchester.
The front section of the directory includes the award winning Community Information Pages with special sections devoted to information on local schools and government offices, public transportation, area sports, area museums and attractions, weather and emergency planning, as well as other important local information.
The Real Yellow Pages Companion Directory has become popular with many area residents and businesses. The smaller version has become useful for homes and businesses with more than one phone, as well as for those "on the go" to keep in their briefcases and automobiles. In addition to the standard size and companion directories, The Real Yellow Pages Lexington edition is available on CD-ROM and on the Internet at www.realpageslive.com.
"Just as consumers' preference for how they locate local business information has changed, so has BellSouth's tools for finding information. From our print directory, to cd-rom to the Internet, consumers have a choice of how they âlet their fingers do the walking' when searching The Real Yellow Pages," said Weller.
YELLOWPAGES.COM⢠from BellSouth is the Southeast's leading online yellow pages. With more than 2.1 million annual searches for Lexington businesses, the YELLOWPAGES.COM network, including Yahoo! Yellow Pages, AOL Yellow Pages and Switchboard.com, is another way BellSouth connects savvy business people to consumers looking to make a purchase. Information is available at www.YELLOWPAGES.COM.
