
Legends' Anthem Tryouts Set for February 13-14

(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) Singers and musicians will have a chance to earn a spot in the Lexington Legends' pregame lineup for 2016 when the Legends conduct their national anthem tryouts in February.
The Legends will hold this year's tryouts at Fayette Mall on Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14. The stage for tryouts will be set up in the wing of the mall near the Cheesecake Factory across from Vera Bradley. Each participant will sing or play the anthem, and those selected by the judges will perform the anthem before one of the Legends' 70 home games during the 2016 season. Individuals, groups and instrumentalists are welcome to audition.
The sessions will run from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 13 and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 14.
"The National Anthem auditions are becoming a staple within the the Legends organization," said Rebecca Barnes, Legends' director of community relations. "We love how excited our fans are to come out and show us their best for an opportunity to sing at our ballgames."

The Legends, a class A affiliate of the American League champion Kansas City Royals and a member of the South Atlantic League, will open the season Thursday, April 7 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark against the Lakewood BlueClaws, an affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.
