Legends Acquire Todd Withers

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends have acquired forward Todd Withers off waivers, the team announced today.

Withers (6-7, 216, Queens) played the last two seasons overseas in Italy, Australia, and New Zealand. Most recently with the Otago Nuggets in the New Zealand NBL, the Greensboro, NC native averaged 12.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.2 steals, and 2.1 blocks across 18 games.

Withers played four years at Queens University, averaging 11.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks across 115 career games and earning SAC First Team as a senior. He joined the Grand Rapids Drive as a rookie and averaged 6.9 points, 5.6 rebounds in 48 games (36 starts).

The Legends open the regular season on the road this week taking on the Birmingham Squadron Thursday and Friday at 7pm CT. Withers is expected to be available and will wear #33. Fans can catch both games live at www.TexLegends.com or on the Legends Facebook page.
