Legends Acquire Returning Rights to Kaleb Wesson

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends have acquired the returning player rights to Kaleb Wesson along with a 2022 1st round pick from the Memphis Hustle. In exchange, Texas sends the returning player rights to Dakota Mathias and a 2022 1st round pick (from Santa Cruz via Capital City).
Wesson (6-9, 270, Ohio State) joined the Santa Cruz Warriors for 11 games last season (5 starts) and averaged 11.7 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. The former Ohio Mr. Basketball and Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year played overseas the last two seasons in Belgium and Israel.
An Ohio native, Wesson played three years with the Buckeyes earning Big Ten honors every season.
