
Legends Acquire Leon Gilmore III

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends have acquired forward Leon Gilmore III from the available player pool.
Gilmore (6-7, 220, Stephen F. Austin) last played with the Wisconsin Herd, seeing action in 29 games (2 starts) of the 2019-20 season. The Texas native averaged 5.5 points, 2.9 rebounds in 15.6 minutes with the Herd. Gilmore played two seasons at Stephen F. Austin, averaging 10.6 points, 5.9 rebounds his junior year and earning Southland All-Tournament Team.
As a rookie, Gilmore went overseas joining the BK Jekabpils in the Estonian-Latvian Basketball League. In 13 games (12 starts), he averaged 15.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists and shot 41.6% from outside.
Gilmore is expected to join the team in Las Vegas for the 2021 Winter Showcase. The Legends play their first game Monday, hosting the Westchester Knicks at 1pm CT on NBA TV. Fans can follow all the action on www.TexLegends.com.
