BLUEFIELD, WV - An all-time great in the Toronto Blue Jays organization will be making an appearance at Bowen Field this weekend.
Carlos Delgado will be with the Bluefield Blue Jays beginning Thursday night in Princeton when the Jays resume this year's Mercer Cup with the Rays.
Bluefield begins a series with the Bristol Pirates on Sunday night with first pitch scheduled for 6 PM. Delgado will be signing autographs from 5 to 5:30.
As a member of the Toronto Blue Jays, Delgado was a 2-time MLB All-Star and 3-time Silver Slugger Award winner.
Delgado is one of 16 players in MLB history to have hit 4 home runs in a single game. He accomplished the feat on September 25, 2003 in a game against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
A friendly reminder: Steve Harvey Night at Bowen Field has been rescheduled to Sunday, August 30. The Blue Jays will begin a series with the Burlington Royals that night. First pitch is set for 6 PM.
