League One Day One: North Carolina FC Announces Preliminary 2023 Roster

North Carolina FC News Release


CARY, N.C. - North Carolina FC announces the returning players for the 2023 preliminary roster as the new campaign officially begins today as part of League One, Day One across USL League One. The league-wide signing day discloses those under contract as well as team option decisions and stands as the official opening of the new-signing window.

North Carolina FC returns 15 full-time players from a year ago. Of those returning, five were already under contract for 2023 while 11 had team options exercised for the upcoming season.

Returning for 2023:

Goalkeepers (1): Nicholas Holliday

Defenders (6): Gustavo Fernandes, Max Flick, Nelson Flores, Britton Fischer, Christian Lue Young, Jordan Skelton

Midfielders (4): Luis Arriaga, Pecka, Jaden Servania, Raheem Somersall

Forwards (4): Oalex Anderson, Cole Frame, Marvin Mariche, Garrett McLaughlin

With the window to sign new players now open, North Carolina FC will have several additions the roster to announce in the near future. There are also members of the 2022 roster that plan to return, but their updated contracts have not yet been finalized.
