Toronto Marlies News Release
The Leafs Foundation and the St. John's Maple Leafs Booster Club announce that the Leafs Foundation is currently accepting grant applications from incorporated or not-for-profit organizations for the 2004-05 hockey season.
Organizations that were selected to receive funding last season are not eligible for funding during the 2004-05 season.
Application packages are available at the St. John's Maple Leafs office in the Delta Hotel or on the team's website at www.sjmapleleafs.ca. The deadline for submitting applications is June 11, 2004.
The Leafs Foundation is the community service arm of the St. John's Maple Leafs Hockey Club. Influenced by the efforts of the St. John's Maple Leafs Booster Club (est. 1991) and the significant funds it has raised for local charities, the Leafs Foundation was established in 1994 to ensure that players, their families, management and volunteers could contribute directly to important areas of need in our community.
Since 1991, the Leafs Foundation and Booster Club have raised over $1,300,000 for not-for-profit organizations in Newfoundland & Labrador.
