
Lazo Added to All-Star Roster; Ozuna in HR Derby

JUPITER, FL - The Florida State League Office announced today that Jupiter Hammerheads LHP Raudel Lazo has been added to the 2012 All-Star team. The 51st annual All-Star Game will be played at Charlotte Sports Park, home of the Charlotte Stone Crabs, on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 7:05 p.m.
Lazo, a 24-year old middle reliever for the Hammerheads, is 4-1 with a 1.48 ERA for Jupiter in 30.1 innings pitched this season. He also has three saves in his first year of professional baseball. The lefty from Pinar del Rio, Cuba was signed as a Minor League free agent on November 11, 2011 by the Marlins.
Officially, six Hammerheads have been named to the FSL All-Star squad. OF Christian Yelich (concussion) and RHP Matt Neil (promotion) will not participate in the game. Along with Lazo, OF Marcell Ozuna, C J.T. Realmuto and closer Michael Brady are all expected to make the trip to Charlotte.
