Lawson Sherk Named Westland Insurance Community Player of the Month

The Brantford Bulldogs are pround to announce the Westland Insurance Community Player of the Month for October... Bulldogs captain Lawson Sherk.

In the month of October, Sherk led the Bulldogs in two large community appearances meeting with thousands of fans in the Brantford community in the process.

On Wednesday, October 4th, the Bulldogs welcomed Season Ticket Members to see the newly renovated Civic Centre for the first time. Though the doors were opened, and fans were able to walk the concourse, hit the renovated concession & merchandise stands as well as see the new state of the art scoreboard for the first time, the highlight of the evening was the players, in uniform, showing up as a team to meet with the fans all around the building.

As captain Sherk, felt it was important to show the team's gratitude for the city's support in the team's journey to Brantford and with the captain leading the way, the rest of the team stepped up to meet with as many fans and make real connections in their new community together.

On October 25th, Sherk once again led his entire team in a meet & greet at Lynden Park Mall. Hundreds of fans, many clad in black & gold showed up to the mall to meet their team and get autographs from each member of the team.

Sherk sat at the head of the table and took particular pride in taking photos with the young fans who made their way through the line to get to the captain and left every youngster with a smile and a moment to remember.

Once again Lawson has shown all the qualities that have made him so successful in the Ontario Hockey League and a beloved Bulldog captain. We are incredibly proud of our captain and happy to name Lawson the Westland Insurance Community Player of the Month for October.
