Madison Capitols netminder and Omaha Mavericks commit, Simon Latkoczy continues his hot start to the season. Latkoczy was named the week 3 United States Hockey League Goaltender of the Week.
In two games, Latkoczy yielded just one goal on 53 shots faced last weekend against the Youngstown Phantoms. The defending Clark Cup Champion goaltender produced a 0.50 goals against average (GAA), .981 save percentage and recorded his first shutout of the season on Saturday night turning away all 16 shots he faced.
Latkoczy improves to 3-0 on the season with a .964 save percentage (2nd in USHL). His 0.99 GAA is tied for first among all USHL netminders.
