
Late Rally Seals Win for Dust Devils

Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The Tri-City Dust Devils (3-3) came from behind in front of 3,166 fans at Gesa Stadium on Wednesday night to beat the Spokane Indians (3-3) 3-2. The Dust Devils scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to take their first lead of the game.
Hunter Redman delivered the biggest hit for Tri-City. With two outs in the eighth inning he singled to drive in two runs, giving the Dust Devils the one run edge. It was the first hit of the season for Redman.
The team struggled at the plate before coming through in the eighth inning. Tri-City left runners stranded in scoring position in six of the first seven innings of the game. It was a balanced offensive effort as seven different players came away with base hits.
David Bednar (1-0) earned the first win of his professional career after holding the Indians scoreless in the final two innings of the game. Bednar and fellow reliever Dalton Erb combined to keep Spokane off the scoreboard after starter Emmanuel Ramirez allowed two runs in his five innings of work.
The Dust Devils will hit the road to start a five-game series with the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes beginning Thursday night. The team will return home On June 28th to begin a six-game homestand.
