(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - The Vancouver Canadians slipped a game off the pace in the North Division on Wednesday night as they dropped the final game of a three-game series against Everett, falling 6-4 out at Scotiabank Field.

Canadians starter RHP Justin Maese (1-1) allowed six runs over his six innings of work, but only two of those runs were earned as the Vancouver defense had some untimely miscues that helped the Aquasox generate some early offense. Maese suffered the loss, which is his first defeat in the Blue Jays organization since 2014 after going 5-0 for Class-A Bluefield a season ago. Three Vancouver pitchers, LHP Grayson Huffman (1.0IP), RHP Gabe Noyalis (1.0IP) and RHP Jackson McClelland (1.0IP) managed to keep Everett within reach heading into the late stages as the trio did not allow a run, marking the second straight outing that the Vancouver bullpen were invincible.

Vancouver trailed 1-0, 3-2 and 6-4 over the course of the night as both offenses went toe-to-toe early on, but much like the Canadians, the Everett bullpen sparkled as well going the final 5 1/3 innings of work without allowing a C's cleat to touch home plate, securing the victory.

Canadians SS Yeltsin Gudino (2-for-3), LF Jake Anderson (2-for-4) and 3B Bryan Lizardo (2-for-4) all had multi-hit nights in the loss.

The Canadians and Hillsboro (Arizona Diamondbacks) now open up a five-game series out at Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium starting Thursday, June 23rd at 7:05pm with RHP Dalton Rodriguez getting the ball for the C's. The Canadians, thanks to Blake's and The BC Sports Hall of Fame will welcome baseball great Jack Morris to Nat Bailey Stadium on Thursday, as part of the annual Superstar Series. The first 1,000 fans to the ballpark will receive a commemorative Jack Morris Baseball Card upon entry to the stadium.
