GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - A pair of two-RBI hits by David Bishop (TCU) and Maddox Mihalakis (Arizona) helped push the Greeneville Flyboys to a 4-1 win over the Kingsport Axmen in seven innings on Sunday, July 31.

In a defensive battle early, Sam Petersen (Iowa) opened the scoring for the Axmen (34-15) in the top of the third, as his RBI-single scored Gunner Gouldsmith (Sacramento State) to push Kingsport in front 1-0.

In the bottom of the fifth, an error by Petersen allowed Ian Daugherty (Oklahoma State) and Jack O'Reilly (Villanova) to get into scoring position, with Bishop bringing them home with a two-RBI single, giving the Greeneville Flyboys (25-26) a 2-1 lead.

With two outs in the bottom of the sixth, Andrew Lindsey (Tennessee) walked the next two batters, before Mihalakis brought home Will Brown (Florida A&M) and Daugherty to give the Flyboys the eventual 4-1 lead.

Brian Yetter (Marist) (3-5) went all seven innings, earning the win after giving up one run off three hits, walking three and striking out six.

Lindsey (0-1) was handed the loss, going 5.2 innings, giving up four runs off five hits, walking two and striking out six. William Shelton (LMU) got the final out of the sixth for the Axmen, facing one batter.
