Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
A late rally fell short on Tuesday night as the Tri-City Dust Devils (13-19, 32-38) lost to the Eugene Emeralds (23-9, 51-19) on the road 7-5. Providing a spark at the plate Kyle Overstreet had three hits and Manny DeLeon scored two of the team's five runs.
Reliever Jean Garcia struggled in his debut with Tri-City. Garcia walked four of the six batters he faced and allowed four runs, giving Eugene the 7-1 lead in the sixth inning. The Dust Devils mounted a comeback bid in the seventh inning. Tri-City answered back by scoring four runs off of six. After cutting the deficit to only two runs, the Dust Devils were held scoreless the rest of the game.
Tri-City will look to snap their two-game skid in the middle game of the series tonight with left-hander Elier Sanchez getting the start for the Dust Devils. Eugene will counter with right-hander Manuel Rondon. Tri-City will return home for the final series of the season starting Saturday. There will be a Post-Game Fireworks Show that night presented by McCurley Integrity Dealerships. Great seats are available by calling the Dust Devils' front office at (509) 544-8789 or by going to www.dustdevilsbaseball.com to purchase tickets.
