
Late comeback falls short

Kinston Indians News Release
The K-Tribe dropped their second one run game of the season falling 9-8 to Frederick Wednesday night at Historic Grainger Stadium. Kinston led 5-3 after three innings, thanks to a four run third by the K-Tribe. Kinston batted around in the third inning, with RBI's from Jared Goedert, Nick Weglarz, Carlos Rivero and Cirilo Cumberbatch. Frederick responded with a run in the fifth inning, two runs in the sixth and three runs in the seventh inning to take the lead back from Kinston. K-Tribe catcher Brian Juhl, hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning, bringing Kinston within one, but the comeback would end there. Juhl had two hits for the K-Tribe, Rivero added three for the Indians.
Josh Tomlin takes the loss for Kinston, Kyle Schmidt the win for Frederick. The K-Tribe returns to action tomorrow for the final game of the three game set, 7pm at Grainger Stadium. Jeanmar Gomez will take the mound for Kinston.
