Stanley Espinal's two-run home run in the top of the 10th inning gave the State College Spikes a 2-0 lead, which held up to be the eventual final.

Crosscutters starter Manuel Silva was outstanding, tossing six shutout frames, allowing just two bases hits while not allowing a walk and striking out five in a no decision.

Out of the Crosscutters bullpen, Orestes Melendez pitched three scoreless innings of relief for Williamsport, allowing just two base hits and striking out 4 Spikes batters. Luis Ramirez surrendered the 10th inning, 2-run home run and took the loss.

Matt Vierling and Seth Lancaster each recorded their first professional hits, both going 1-3 in their debuts.

Both were selected in the 2018 Draft by the Phillies. Vierling recorded his first stolen base of the season.

Williamsport left eight runners on base, including the would be winning run in the bottom of the 9th . They finished the night 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position.
