Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs have announced the final opportunities to purchase game-worn jerseys from the 2011 Memorial Cup championship team.
Three of the remaining white jerseys will be auctioned at tonight's game against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. The jerseys of Ryan Tesink (No. 19), Brock Morrison (No. 26) and Steven Anthony (No. 16) will be up for live auction during the second intermission of the game, a 7:30 p.m. start.
Meanwhile, fans anywhere with an Internet connection can place bids on two additional jerseys. Through Jan. 9, the jerseys of Jonathan Huberdeau (No. 11) and Zack Phillips (No. 7) will be up for bid online at http://auction.chl.ca
Huberdeau and Phillips were Saint John's leading scorers as the Sea Dogs became the first team from Atlantic Canada to win the Memorial Cup in its 93-year history. The starting bids are $105 for Huberdeau and $95 for Phillips, equal to each player's point total from last season.
These white jerseys were worn by the players during the run to the Cup, feature Memorial Cup patches and are the last authentic game-worn jerseys available for auction from the 2011-12 season.
Three additional jerseys from the previous season will be made available in a last-chance live auction at Saturday's game against the Halifax Mooseheads. These blue jerseys were game-worn but do not feature the Memorial Cup patches. The jerseys of Brock Morrison (No. 26) and Jordan Mock (No. 24) will be up for bid. Again, bids will be taken during the second intermission of the game, a 7 p.m. start. In addition, raffle tickets will be sold on a game-worn No. 26 jersey with no namebar.
Saint John's last two home games before Christmas are Friday and Saturday. The Dogs return home Dec. 30 against the Prince Edward Island Rocket.
Tickets are also on sale for the annual New Year's Rivalry Cup matchup against Moncton. This year's game in Saint John is set for Jan. 2, and there will be a special food drive for the Community Food Basket. The city donating the most food by weight will earn three extra points in the Brunswick News Rivalry Cup.
Tickets are available at the Harbour Station box office, by calling 506-657-1234 or online at www.tickets.harbourstation.ca.
