Las Vegas Wranglers Announce Western Conference Finals Playoff Dates

Las Vegas - After eliminating the Idaho Steelheads from the 2012 Kelly Cup playoffs last night, the Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the playoff schedule against the Alaska Aces in the Western Conference Finals.

The best-of-seven series will begin in Las Vegas on Thursday, April 26, and is as follows:

Game 1 on Thursday, April 26, at 7:05 p.m. - Orleans Arena

Game 2 on Friday, April 27, at 7:05 p.m. - Orleans Arena

Game 3 on Sunday, April 29, at 8:15 p.m. - Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, Ala.

Game 4 on Tuesday, May 1, at 8:15 p.m. - Sullivan Arena

Game 5 on Wednesday, May 2, at 8:15 p.m. (if necessary) - Sullivan Arena

Game 6 on Friday, May 4, at 8:15 p.m. (if necessary) - Sullivan Arena

Game 7 on Wednesday, May 9, at 7:05 p.m. (if necessary) - Orleans Arena

The Wranglers defeated the Idaho Steelheads 2-1 in overtime last night to take the Western Conference Semifinals series 4-1. The Aces also took their series against the Stockton Thunder 4-1 after winning 4-1 over the team on Saturday night. In the first round, Las Vegas swept the Utah Grizzlies in three games to advance while the Aces received a bye week for leading the Western Conference.

The winner of this series will go on to face the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Florida Everblades and the Kalamazoo Wings for the 2012 Kelly Cup.

During the 2011-12 regular season, the Wranglers had a 5-3-0-1 record against the Aces, going 3-1-0 at home and 2-2-1 on the road. Las Vegas enters the Western Conference Finals as the third seed after finishing with an overall 42-22-1-7 record. Alaska holds the first seed with a 43-18-3-8 record.

Fans can lock in their seats by purchasing playoff strip tickets starting at $18 per game, and tickets for kids ages 12 and under are just $8.
