Las Vegas Rolls Into Grand Rapids on Sunday

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - After playing six of their first ten games on the road, the Grand Rapids Rampage finish the 2003 season with four out of six at the friendly confines of Van Andel Arena. The final home stretch begins this Sunday as the Central Division leading Rampage (7-3) host the Eastern Division leading Las Vegas Gladiators (6-4).

Sunday's contest, which kicks off at 3 p.m., will be only the second meeting between the Rampage and Gladiators. In the two teams only meeting, the Gladiators, who moved during the offseason to Las Vegas from New Jersey, handed the Rampage one of their worst defeats in team history, 70-42, last season at the Meadowlands in New Jersey.

Live radio coverage of Saturday's contest begins at 2:40 p.m. on WBBL 1340 AM. Veteran broadcasters Joe Parson and Tom Sullivan will handle the call of the game.

The 2003 season marks the historic debut of the AFL on NBC. NBC Sports will televise up to 70 games, including all playoff games and ArenaBowl XVII on June 22. The network's coverage this week includes: Chicago at Colorado, Dallas at Indiana and Arizona at Los Angeles.

GAME PROMOTIONS

Halftime Act: Halftime features the amazing antics of Transformation. This is amazing! Don't blink, because Transformation changes clothes several times right before your eyes. Having appeared recently on The Late Show with David Letterman, they are one of Las Vegas' top acts.

Autograph Session: Immediately following the game, the Rampage will hold a postgame autograph session. All fans are welcome to come down on the field to meet the players and get free autographs.

Tailgate & Postgame Party: Fans can tailgate two hours before the game across the street from Van Andel Arena at the Margarita Grill. After the game, fans can venture back over to the Margarita Grill to join Rampage players and coaches for the team's official postgame party.
