LAREDO, Texas - The Laredo Bucks went 1-1-0 this past week. The Bucks fell 4-2 at Rio Grande Valley on Friday night in a first round playoff preview. Saturday Laredo posted a 5-2 road win at Corpus Christi. It was their franchise record 22nd road win of the season. The Bucks are the #3 overall seed in the CHL playoffs and they finished a Southern Conference best 42-16-5. Games One and Two are set for this Friday and Saturday at the LEC against Rio Grande Valley. Face off at 7:30 p.m. both nights. Individual playoff game tickets are on sale at the LEC Box Office, online and at all Ticketmaster outlets. UPCOMING PROMOTIONS

- The Bucks open the first round of the CHL Playoffs at the LEC on Friday and Saturday against Rio Grande Valley. Face off set for 7:30 p.m. each night. On Saturday night the first 2,500 fans get Bucks pom poms courtesy of Border Title. There will be a post game skate both nights.

2006-07: REGULAR SEASON: Laredo went 9-4-1 against RGV. The Killer Bees defeated the Bucks 4-2 on 10/28 at the LEC. The Bucks rallied from an early 2-0 deficit and beat the Killer Bees 5-2 on 11/10 at the Dodge Arena as Igor Agarunov scored a pair of goals. Laredo fell 2-1 to Rio Grande Valley on 12/09 at the Dodge Arena. On 12/10 the Bucks hammered the Killer Bees 9-4 at the LEC. The Bucks beat the Killer Bees 3-1 on 12/23 at the LEC. On 12/29 Bucks forward Bobby Chaumont scored a pair of goals, including the game winner in a 3-2 shootout Laredo victory at the Dodge Arena. The Bucks got goals from six different players as they beat the Killer Bees 6-2 on 12/30 at the Dodge Arena. On 12/31 forward Chris Korchinski scored two goals, and the Bucks were 3-7 on the power play as they beat RGV 4-2 at the LEC. Forward Chris Korchinski scored :55 into sudden death overtime to beat the Killer Bees 3-2 at the LEC on 01/07. The Bucks beat the Killer Bees 4-1 at the Dodge Arena on 01/14 as forward Ladislav Kouba had a pair of goals. Laredo fell 3-2 in overtime at Rio Grande Valley on 02/10. On 03/02 the Bucks beat the Killer Bees 5-3 at the LEC as they tied a franchise record with five first period goals. On 03/23 the Bucks fell 4-2 at the Dodge Arena.

2005-06: REGULAR SEASON: The Bucks went 8-4-2 against the Killer Bees in the 05-06 regular season.

2006 Post-Season: The Bucks defeated the Killer Bees four games to two in the first round of the CHL Playoffs. Bucks forward Jeff Bes ended the series with a Game Six OT winner at the Dodge Arena.

All-time: Laredo is 33-13-5 against the Killer Bees, outscoring Rio Grande Valley 188-124. The Bucks are 13-10-4 all-time at the Dodge, and 20-3-1 all-time at the LEC. The teams met in the first round of the 2004 CHL playoffs with the Bucks sweeping the Killer Bees three games to none and again in the first round in 2006 with the Bucks winning four games to two.

- The Bucks will take on RGV in the first round for the third time in four seasons. The teams met in the first round of the 2004 CHL playoffs with the Bucks sweeping the Killer Bees three games to none and again in the first round in 2006 with the Bucks winning four games to two.

BUCKS PLAYOFF SERIES HISTORY

- This is the 12th playoff series in Laredo Bucks franchise history. The Bucks have made the playoffs now in all five seasons and have a 9-2 record in playoff series. All-time the Bucks are 37-22 (0.627 win %) in the playoffs.

- The Bucks have played 11 Game Ones in their brief history. The Bucks are 10-1 in Game Ones, including 2-0 against RGV.

TRYING TO REPEAT

- The Bucks are looking to capture back-to-back President's Cup titles. The last CHL team to repeat was the Memphis RiverKings in 2002 and 2003.

SCORING FIRST LAST YEAR WAS BIG

- Laredo went 9-2 when scoring first last post-season. The 11 first goals by the Bucks were the most in the CHL playoffs.

HOME ICE ADVANTAGE LAST YEAR

- Home teams won 30 of 39 games played in the last years CHL playoffs. Laredo went 8-0 on home ice and out scored teams 38-10.

GREAT COMBO

- The Bucks scored 219 goals, the sixth highest total in the CHL. Laredo allowed 170 goals, the third lowest in the CHL. The goal differential of +49 was the third best in the CHL.

SUDDEN DEATH

- The Bucks led the CHL with seven overtime victories. Overall Laredo went 7-3 in sudden death this season and set a new franchise record for overtime wins. The previous was five overtime victories in the 2003-04 season. Rookie forward Bobby Chaumont has two overtime winners, forward Jeff Bes, defenseman Serge Dube, forward Leo Thomas, defenseman Adam Rivet and forward Chris Korchinski each had one.

FIRST PERIOD JUMP

- The Bucks scored 75 first period goals, the second highest total in the CHL.

POWER PLAY REPORT

- Laredo went 3 for their last 37 (8.1 %) on the man advantage and four for their last 45 over the final 10 games. Overall Laredo finished fifth in the CHL at 17.6 %. The Bucks were first on the road at 20.0 %.

PENALTY KILL REPORT

- Laredo stopped 74 of the last 82 (90.2 %) on the penalty kill over the final 16 games. Overall the Bucks were seventh in the CHL at 84.8 %.

RECORD BREAKING

- The Bucks won their franchise record 22nd road game of the season 5-2 at COR on 03/24. It eclipsed the previous record for most road wins in Bucks franchise history back in 2003-04. The Bucks were a CHL best 22-8-2 on the road in 2006-07. They were the only CHL team to win 20 or more on the road.

- The Bucks finished with points in 18 of the last 21 on the road (16-3-2).

WHAT A ROAD RUN

- Laredo is 38-15-7 in their last 60 regular season road games dating back to 2005-06.

- The Bucks closed the regular season scoring two goals or less in six of the last eight games. Overall Laredo was sixth in the CHL with 3.42 goals per game.

TWO GOALS IS TOUGH TO WIN

- Laredo was 5-16-1 when scoring two goals or less this season. Three of their wins came against Corpus Christi. Laredo won 2-1 in overtime at home on 12/06, 2-1 in regulation at Corpus Christi on 01/27, and 2-1 in overtime at Corpus Christi on 03/04. The others were 1-0 over COL on 03/09 and 2-1 at AUS on 03/18.

- Laredo was 17-0-0 this season when allowing one goal or less and 32-2-0 when allowing two goals or less. Overall the Bucks were third in the league allowing 2.66 goals per game.

- 03/24/07 - SATURDAY - @ CORPUS CHRISTI -The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks got a pair of goals from forward Steve Simoes as they beat the Corpus Christi Rayz 5-2 at the American Bank Center on Saturday night to close the 2006-07 CHL regular season. With the win Laredo set a franchise record with their 22nd road victory of the season. The Bucks are the #3 overall seed in the CHL playoffs and they finish a Southern Conference best 42-16-5. Kevin Reiter stopped 22 of 24 shots and improved to 17-6-1. Brent Zelenwich played the first 40 minutes and allowed three goals on 22 shots and fell to 13-10-3. Kevin Couture played the third period for Corpus allowing one goal on 12 shots. FINAL SCORE Laredo 5, Corpus Christi 2.

- 03/23/07 - FRIDAY - @ RIO GRANDE VALLEY -The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks gave up three power play goals and fell 4-2 to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees at the Dodge Arena on Friday night in a first round playoff preview. Despite the loss the Bucks clinched the #3 overall seed in the CHL playoffs and they remain a Southern Conference best 41-16-5. Laredo finished 9-4-1 against the Killer Bees. Eric Marvin allowed four goals on 26 shots and fell to 20-8-4. Jeff Van Nynatten stopped 31 of 33 and improved to 10-12-3. FINAL SCORE Rio Grande Valley 4, Laredo 2.
