2007 CHL Fantasy Playoff Pool Underway

The Central Hockey League is pleased to announce its first annual CHL Fantasy Playoff Pool, allowing fans to draft their own CHL fantasy teams and compete for unique prizes from the 2006-2007 Ray Miron President's Cup Playoffs. Participation is free, and fans will select three forwards, two defenseman and one goaltender from each playoff conference (12 total players) and earn points from their on ice accomplishments. Fans will be rewarded for correctly predicting what individual players have the most significant on ice impact throughout the post-season. A short survey must be completed to participate.

Forwards and defensemen will accumulative fantasy points throughout the playoffs for goals, assists, game winning goals, and penalty minutes. Goaltenders will earn (or lose) points for wins, saves, and goals against on a per game basis. Once the playoffs are underway, fans will be able to see how their team stacks up against the rest of the competition on the Central Hockey League website.

By entering the 2007 CHL Playoffs Fantasy Game, fans will compete for bragging rights and unique memorabilia from the upcoming post-season, with the top seven entries awarded prizes. The CHL's Fantasy Playoff Pool Champion will receive an autographed team jersey from the 2007 Ray Miron President's Cup Champions, while runners up will receive either game used and autographed sticks or game used and autographed pucks from the 2007 Championship Finals series.

The deadline to enter the CHL Fantasy Playoff Pool is Friday, March 30th at 5:00 PM CST. Only one entry per individual will considered official. Visit the CHL online at www.centralhockeyleague,com for complete contest rules and regulations, and to draft your CHL Fantasy Playoff team.

The Scorpions will begin their quest for the Ray Miron Cup, awarded to the champion of the Central Hockey League, with two exciting weekend home playoff games. New Mexico will host Amarillo with games one and two on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31. The series will shift to Amarillo the following week before returning to the Santa Ana Star Center on Monday, April 9 and Tuesday, April 10 if necessary. Please note all home games during the playoffs will start at 7:05 p.m.
