Aberdeen Wings News Release
Aberdeen Wings head coach Scott Langer became the North American Hockey League's (NAHL) winningest coach Saturday night following a 3-1 win over the Bismarck Bobcats.
The win marked his 603rd victory during his 17-year coaching career in the NAHL. He boasts an overall record of 603-241-81, surpassing the previous record set by Tony Curtale.
"It makes me think of so many people who supported me and all the players who believed in me," Langer said after the historic win.
With so many wins under his belt, Langer has a lot of memorable games to look back on. His favorite, he said, came two seasons ago.
"The (2019) National Championship win would be the one pinnacle, I would say."
