
Lancers Top Stampede, 6-3

Omaha Lancers News Release
SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Omaha Lancers took down the Sioux Falls Stampede on Saturday night by a final score of 6-3.
In the first frame, Jack Jensen (6:22) got the Lancers ahead 1-0 batting in an airborne puck that ricocheted off the glass behind Trent Burnham. The Stampede would even the game 1-1 with Brent Johnson (11:19) netting the puck past Cooper Black. The back-and-forth would continue when Jake Johnson (13:27) snapped the puck in from the right point past Burnham to get Omaha ahead 2-1. Sioux Falls would even the game again 2-2 when Sam Rhodes (15:32) scored.
In the second period, Michaell Cameron (0:28) off of a rebound that was shot by Kyle Bettens making the score 3-2. The Stampede would even the game 3-3 while on the power-play when Garrett Pioniemi scored on Jakub Dobes. The Lancers would continue their attack with Nolan Renwick (17:39) tapping the puck past Burnham getting Omaha ahead 4-3 to end the second period.
In the third period, Alex Gaffney (5:50) scored on the power-play tipping the puck in off of a shot from Jack Jensen. Nolan Renwick (12:31) added another goal for the Lancers for a final score of 6-3.
The Lancers improve to 2-1 on the year and will face off on Sunday against the Fargo Force. Puck drop is at 4:05 PM. All of the action is on MixLR and HockeyTV.
