Lancers Top Musketeers in Season Finale, 3-2

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers welcomed the Sioux City Musketeers for the final game of the regular season on Saturday. Omaha called on Zach Driscoll to play between the pipes.

Grant Anderson opened up the scoring just a minute into the first period. Anderson shot the puck from the blue line to beat Ben Kraws scoring top shelf. Sioux City answered back late in the period with a goal at the fifteen-minute mark and another with one second remaining on the power play. Omaha trailed 2-1 heading into the first intermission.

Omaha tied it the game in the second period with a goal from Brendan Furry. On the power play, Furry took the initial shot from the right circle. The rebound came back to the tape of his stick and then he fired another shot that got passed Kraw.

After a scoreless third period, and overtime the game went to a shootout. Ryan Savage was the final shooter for Omaha. Savage scored and the Lancers won 3-2 against Sioux City.

With tonight's win, the Lancers have secured their spot at second in the USHL Western Conference. Omaha will have a first-round bye and will return to the ice for Round 2 Game 1 at Ralston Arena on Saturday, April 21st at 7:05 pm.

Omaha finished the season with a record of 39-16-2-3 and 83 points.
