Lancers Ink New Radio Deal, Bakken Returns As Voice of Lancers
August 31, 2007 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Omaha Lancers News Release
The Omaha Lancers have signed a radio deal with Salem Communications. News Talk 1420 AM will be the new home for the Lancers. "We are looking forward to our new partnership with Salem," said Heather Roberts, Director of Marketing for the Lancers. "There may be a few conflicts at the start of the season because of previously scheduled sporting events on KOTK, but we will be sure to notify fans prior to those games."
For the past 13 years, Lancers games were broadcast on Journal Broadcast's KOMJ 1490 AM. Journal Broadcast sold the station last spring.
In addition to the radio broadcast, fans can also catch all the action on B2 networks for $6.00 per game. B2 provides a live pay-per-view service that can be accessed on the Lancers website. Fans can watch and listen live to Lancer broadcaster Bob Bakken. This service will start when the Lancers travel to Sioux City for the USHL Fall Classic preseason tournament September 27 - 29.
