Lancers Announce Schedule For West Division Finals

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce the schedule for the West Division Finals between Omaha and the Fargo Force. As regular season West Division champions, the Lancers maintain home ice advantage in the second round of the 2010 Clark Cup playoffs and will host Games 1 & 2 of the West Division Finals this Friday, April 16th and Saturday, April 17th at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Both games will feature a 7:05 PM opening face off. The best-of-five series will then shift north to the Urban Plains Center in Fargo where the Force will host Game 3 Wednesday, April 21st and if necessary, Game 4 Thursday, April 22nd. Both games in Fargo will begin at 7:05 PM. If Game 5 is needed to decide the series, that deciding contest would be played back at the Omaha Civic Auditorium on Saturday, April 24th at 7:05 PM. Omaha went 0-4-1 against Fargo this season but the season series was in fact considerably closer than that record would indicate as four of the five meetings were decided by two goals or fewer and in fact, three of the five get-togethers were one-goal affairs. Fargo's Matt Leitner led all scorers in the season series with 13 points (6 goals, 7 assists) while Omaha's Erik Haula and Seth Ambroz paced all Lancers skaters with five points apiece.
Tickets for Games 1 & 2 of the West Division Finals will be on sale beginning tomorrow morning through the Qwest Center Box office from 10 AM - 6 PM as well as through all Ticketmaster outlets.
