Lancers Add Defenseman Galambos

Ralston, NE - The Omaha Lancers added defenseman Zakary Galambos (6'2, 187 lbs.) via trade with the Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League the team announced on Friday morning.

A three-year veteran of junior hockey, Galambos is expected to be available on Saturday night against Team USA. The Walnut Creek, CA native has recorded 15 points (3g, 12a), in addition to a +8 rating in 18 games this season for the Tomahawks. Last season Galambos tallied 28 points (8g, 20a) and a +14 rating in 54 games for Johnstown.

The defenseman was also named to the NAHL's Top Prospects Tournament. Galambos also saw action in 11 USHL games during the '14-15 season with the Des Moines Buccaneers, four of which came against the Lancers.

Acquired for future considerations, the defenseman will wear number 14 when the Lancers host Team USA on Leap for A Cure Night.

The specialty jerseys worn during the game will be auctioned off on through a silent auction on the concourse starting at 6:15pm. If the Lancers raise $10,000 via the silent auction and the "Pass the Bucket" campaign the entire team will shave their heads on the ice after the game.
