Lancaster takes rubber match from Bluefish

A six run second inning proved to be detrimental to the Bluefish who were only able to battle back for four runs in the seven four loss at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard on Thursday night.
The runs came as Hodges allowed the bases loaded in the second inning and gave up a grand slam to Lance Burkhart to give the Barnstormers an early lead. Ortiz then singled in two more runs.
Willis Otanez got one back for the Bluefish in the bottom of the second with a solo blast over the left field fence.
Norm Hutchins singled to lead off the bottom of the third inning and Bryant Nelson singled him in with a hit down the right field line. Espada came in to run and ended up on third after a Deivi Cruz single. Otanez then doubled to bring home the pinch runner Espada.
Espada scored again in the fifth inning after reaching base on a fielder's choice. Deivi Cruz singled and P.J. Rose reached on a throwing error allowing Espada to come home and cut the lead to 6-4.
Jeremy Todd singled in another run in the top of the sixth to extend the Barnstormer lead to 7-4.
