First 2006 Bluefish playoff game scheduled for 6:35 p.m.

Bridgeport, CT - September 21st, 2006 - For the sixth time in their nine year history, the Bridgeport Bluefish will host postseason baseball. As the winners of the Northern Division's second half crown, the Bluefish will open the Atlantic League 2006 playoffs this coming Tuesday, September 26th at 6:35p.m. as they host Game 1 of the Northern Divisional Series vs. the Long Island Ducks.

As the winners of the first half, the Ducks choose to host Game 2 and, if necessary, Game 3 of the series.

The Port Jefferson Ferry will be leaving Bridgeport and making its last run to Long Island at 10:30p.m. in order to accommodate traveling Ducks fans. The Port Jefferson Ferry is still offering its special playoff package that will include a round-trip walk-on ticket and game ticket. Should the bluefish defeat the Ducks in the best of three Divisional series, they will return to The Ballpark at Harbor Yard for games one and two of the Atlantic League Championship Series vs. the winner of the South. Those games are scheduled for Friday, September 29th at 7:05p.m. and Saturday, September 30th at 6:05p.m. (Times are subject to change)
