LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. - Josh James delivered a third consecutive quality start as the JetHawks rallied for a 5-1 win over the Lake Elsinore Storm on Thursday night at The Diamond.

The win marked a season-high four consecutive road victories for the JetHawks (39-38) who pushed their record back above the .500 mark.

Down 1-0 in the sixth inning, Antonio Nunez led off with a bunt single and took second base when Daniel Bravo's throw to first kicked into foul territory. Nunez was bunted over to third base and scored when catcher A.J. Kennedy's errant throw to third sailed into left field.

Lancaster rallied for three more in the seventh inning. Jason Martin bunted for a hit to begin the inning and scored on a Keach Ballard double to give the JetHawks the lead. The RBI was the 10th for Ballard, who has now driven in a run in each of his five games since joining the team.

Brooks Marlow was hit by a pitch later in the inning and Nunez followed with a walk to chase reliever Brandon Alger (3-1) from the game. Trey Wingenter entered from the bullpen and proceeded to walk Bobby Boyd and Johnny Sewald with the bases loaded to bring home two more runs and give the JetHawks a 4-1 lead.

The JetHawks added their final run in the ninth inning. Drew Ferguson led off with a double and scored on a Nunez base hit. Nunez finished the game 3-for-3 and reached base all four times he came to the plate. He added two stolen bases.

Josh James (6-2) earned his team-best sixth win of the season. The right-hander lasted 6.2 innings and allowed just one run despite a season-high 11 hits. He struck out two and walked two.

Lake Elsinore's only run came in the third. Franmil Reyes singled to score Josh VanMeter, but Michael Gettys was thrown by the right fielder Ferguson when he tried to go from first to third on the hit.

Ryan Deemes and Scott Weathersby combined for 2.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen to end the game.

The JetHawks take on the Storm (36-42) in the second game of the four-game series on Friday night at The Diamond. Trent Thornton (3-4) is slated to start against Brett Kennedy (2-5). First pitch is 7 p.m.
