Osceola Magic News Release
To celebrate the 2019-20 schedule release, the Lakeland Magic hosted an Open House event for fans across Polk County. To tip off the event, the Lakeland Magic held a ribbon-cutting ceremony that marked the official opening of a new team inspired mural. The ceremony included Lakeland Magic President Shelly Wilkes, City of Lakeland Mayor Bill Mutz, Executive Director of the RP Funding Center Tony Camarillo, and artist Gillian Fazio. The event was held at the Lakeland Magic Corporate Office located at the RP Funding Center. Fans had the opportunity to meet Head Coach Stan Heath and Assistant General Manager, Adetunji Adedipe and pick up their free 2019-20 season schedule. The event included multiple stations with activities such as pop-a-shot, photos with Coach Heath, free snacks and more.
The Lakeland Magic also recently hosted a jersey design contest in which the top three submissions were selected, and opened up for fan voting. Daniel Dalhoff's design was selected and he was presented with a replica jersey during the ceremony. Daniel's design will be produced and worn by Lakeland Magic players on A Night of the Arts theme night on March 14, 2020. Player worn jerseys will be auctioned off during the game with all proceeds benefiting the City of Lakeland. The money raised will go towards feeding the swans around Lake Morton.
To learn how you can get involved with A Night of the Arts email info@lakelandmagic.com or call 863.825.3258 for more information.
