AVON, OH - The Lake Erie Crushers completed a three game sweep of the Otters Sunday, living up to their name with a convincing 15-4 victory.

The Crushers scored a pair of runs in the first on a throwing error and a single by Andrew Davis.

Drew Saylor opened the scoring in the third inning with a solo home run. Otters' starter Stephen Brock walked the next three batters to load the bases. Tyler Johnson hit a ground rule double to drive in two and Arden McWilliams followed with a two run single to push the lead to 7-0.

In the sixth inning, seven straight Crushers reached base with two outs. Davis reached on an error and Gordon Gronkowski doubled him in. Five straight batters singled, the last four driving in one run each. One day after taking an 11-0 lead after six innings, Lake Erie took a 12-0 lead to the top of the seventh Sunday.

The Otters got on the scoreboard in the seventh on a Marcus Rose RBI single. They added three more in the eighth on Luke Hetherington and Frank Meade singles.

McWilliams put the exclamation point on the victory with a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth. He finished 4-for-5 with five runs batted in.

Brock (2-2) was chased after 2 2/3 innings. He gave up seven runs (six earned) on eight hits. Crushers' starter Alberto Rolon shutout the Otters on three hits through six innings.

The Otters (28-56) head home to take on the Southern Illinois Miners Tuesday at 7:05pm CDT.
