LAFC Loan Goalkeeper Phillip Ejimadu to SD Loyal

San Diego, CA -San Diego Loyal Soccer Club (SD Loyal) announced today that LAFC Goalkeeper Phillip Ejimadu is joining the team on loan ahead of its Sept. 23 game against LA Galaxy II. This is SD Loyal's second last game before playoffs and the city's new men's professional soccer team currently stands in second place in Group B.

"We're incredibly grateful that LAFC stepped in to help us out in a challenging moment,"said Landon Donovan, EVP of Soccer Operations and Team Manager. "I'm excited to have Phillip join us for our playoff push."

Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN, Ejimadu is the second LAFC player to join SD Loyal on loan, following Alejandro Guido. The young Goalkeeper holds Nigerian and Brazilian citizenship and came through the youth ranks at Nacional Atlético Clube in Brazil prior to joining LAFC. He has made three appearances with the US U20 National Team.
