
Labardo Scores in Pro Debut with Fort Wayne

Graduating Erie Otters forward J.P. Labardo scored in his professional debut with the ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets Sunday evening.
Labardo, who played in over 300 Ontario Hockey League games, completed his OHL career with the Otters in Erie's dramatic 5-4 overtime win Saturday night.
The resident of Bolton, Ont. had a career year in his lone season with the Otters, as he collected 24 goals and 38 assists for 62 points in 67 games.
Labardo scored the Komets' fifth goal in their 8-5 victory over the Evansville IceMen Sunday afternoon. Labardo also had a +1 rating and registered seven shots on goal.
Next up for the Otters is the 2013 OHL Priority Selection on Saturday, April 6. The Otters will hold 12 picks in the draft, including the second overall selection.
