LOS ANGELES - Following a 2-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes on May 14, which extended a two-game winning streak across all competitions, the LA Galaxy will play three games in the span of seven days by first traveling to face Columbus Crew SC in league play at Lower.com Field on Wednesday, May 17 (4:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, LA Galaxy Radio, LA Galaxy Spanish Radio). The Galaxy will then travel to square off against D.C. United at Audi Field on Saturday, May 20 (4:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, LA Galaxy Radio, LA Galaxy Spanish Radio), before returning to Los Angeles to face off against LAFC at BMO Stadium in the Round of 16 of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday, May 23 (7:30 p.m. PT; Broadcast TBD).
Wednesday's match marks the 47th all-time meeting across all competitions between the Galaxy (2-6-3, 9 points) and Columbus Crew SC (4-4-3, 15 points), with LA trailing the series 16-20-10. Against Crew SC, the Galaxy hold a 16-18-10 record in league play and a 0-2-0 record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. In 21 all-time meetings played on the road against Columbus, LA holds a 4-11-6 record. In the last meeting between the two teams, the Galaxy fell 3-1 on the road to Columbus at Mapfre Stadium on May 8, 2019.
Saturday's match marks the 51st meeting across all competitions between LA and D.C. United, with the Galaxy leading the all-time series 21-17-12. Against D.C., LA holds a 20-15-11 record in league play, an 0-2-0 record in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs and a 1-0-1 record in the Concacaf Champions' Cup. In 24 all-time regular-season matches played on the road against D.C. United, the Galaxy hold a 9-10-5 record. In the last meeting between the two teams, the Galaxy fell 2-1 on the road to D.C at Audi Field on Aug. 11, 2019.
The U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 match on May 23 between the LA Galaxy and LAFC marks the 19th meeting between the two teams across all competitions, with the Galaxy leading the all-time series 7-6-5. Against LAFC, the Galaxy hold a 6-4-5 record in league play, a 0-2-0 record in the MLS Cup Playoffs and a 1-0-0 record in the U.S. Open Cup. The last time the two teams played in the Round of 16 of the U.S. Open Cup, the Galaxy earned a 3-1 win over LAFC at Dignity Health Sports Park on May 25, 2022, with Javier "Chicharito" Hernández and Dejan Joveljić each tallying goals in the victory against LAFC. Dating back to their first U.S. Open Cup match in 1999, the LA Galaxy hold an all-time record of 36-18-1 in 55 matches played in the competition and have been crowned champions twice (2001 and 2005).
