LA Galaxy Unveil Angeleno Kit Ahead of 2024 MLS Season

LOS ANGELES - The LA Galaxy and adidas today unveiled the Angeleno Kit ahead of the 2024 MLS Regular Season. The Angeleno Kit is on sale now online at MLSStore.com. Fans can also visit the LA Galaxy Team Store at Dignity Health Sports Park on Friday, Feb. 16 from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. PT or visit the TeamLAStore.com starting at 10:00 a.m. PT. Fans can also purchase the Angeleno Kit at the Coachella Valley Invitational in Indio, Calif. on Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Merch Outpost starting at 9:00 a.m. PT. Notably, the Angeleno Kit marks the 11th sash kit in club history.

"We are thrilled to present the LA Galaxy's newest primary kit - the Angeleno Kit - ahead of our 29th season in Major League Soccer where our valued partner, Herbalife, will be featured in the front of our jersey for the 17th consecutive season," said LA Galaxy President of Business Operations & Chief Operating Officer Tom Braun. "We look forward to wearing this new primary kit to open our season on February 25 against Inter Miami at Dignity Health Sports Park."

The Angeleno Kit was born from the collective fan sentiment to bring back the iconic sash - one of the LA Galaxy's original trademarks. Inspired by those who know and love LA, the jersey embodies a future-forward theme, and is a tribute to a city born of innovation. The sash is reimagined in a modern take with a play on negative space. The movement in the lines surrounding the sash represent speed, forward momentum and evolution. All the lines eventually meet and come together, unifying with the quasar. The quasar is the LA Galaxy's signature mark and beacon, sitting on the front of the kit, representing the unification of all Angelenos and their voices as one. The Angeleno Kit also features a Los Angeles tag in the back collar of the jersey, displaying a scripted Los Angeles handwritten from the Angelenos who crafted this jersey.

"We connected with our fans to identify crucial elements for the Angeleno Kit. One notable detail from their insights was the sash," explained LA Galaxy Chief Creative and Brand Officer Will Misselbrook. "This led us to embark on a creative reinterpretation, infusing a fresh and progressive perspective into the traditional sash design. Our new kit encapsulates LA's rich soccer tradition, and its original design is a testament to the significance of our fans in shaping it."

Both the 2024 primary and secondary kits will again display five stars on the jersey to represent the LA Galaxy's record five MLS Cups (2002, 2005, 2011, 2012, 2014). Both kits will also feature the Herbalife logo on the front of the jersey, the longest-standing jersey sponsorship in MLS history, and the logo of the new MLS league-wide streaming partner, Apple TV, on the left sleeve. The secondary LA Kit, unveiled in 2023, will return in 2024.
