LA Galaxy travel for road match against Sporting Kansas City on Sunday

CARSON, Calif. - The LA Galaxy (4-1-2, 14 points) will travel for a road contest this week against Sporting Kansas City (4-4-0, 12 points) on Sunday, May 1, at Children's Mercy Park beginning at 5 p.m. PT live on FS1 and Fox Deportes. LA Galaxy II continue the USL season with a road contest against Rio Grande Valley FC on Saturday, April 30, at RGV FC Toros Stadium at 5:30 p.m. PT.

All time, the Galaxy are 24-20-11 against Sporting Kansas City, including 8-15-5 in road games. In their most recent contest, the Galaxy fell to Kansas City 2-1 last October in the final contest of the regular season. Sunday will mark the first of three contests this year, with the two sides set to square off again on June 2 and September 18.

This season on the road, the Galaxy are 1-1-1, scoring four goals and allowing just two. In total, the Galaxy have scored an MLS-high 17 goals and allowed just seven for a +10 goal differential, the best in MLS.

The Galaxy enter Sunday's fixture after recording a 5-2 win over Real Salt Lake Saturday at StubHub Center, behind goals from Gyasi Zardes, Mike Magee, Emmanuel Boateng, Giovani dos Santos and Steven Gerrard.
