LOS ANGELES - With six games remaining during the 2023 MLS Regular Season, the LA Galaxy square off against Austin FC in a road match at Q2 Stadium tonight, Sunday, Sept. 24 (6:30 p.m. PT; Free on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, FS1, LA Galaxy Radio, LA Galaxy Spanish Radio).
Tonight's match marks the sixth all-time MLS regular-season meeting between Austin FC and the Galaxy, with LA leading the series 4-1-0. In the first meeting between the two teams during the 2023 campaign, the Galaxy earned a 2-0 win over Austin at Dignity Health Sports Park on April 22. In two all-time matches played at Q2 Stadium, LA holds a 1-1-0 record. The last time the Galaxy played at Q2 Stadium, Mark Delgado scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Austin FC on May 8, 2022.
Following the 4-3 come-from-behind win over Minnesota United FC at Dignity Health Sports Park on Sept. 20, the LA Galaxy improved to 6-2-6 (29 GF, 24 GA) in their last 14 regular season matches played dating back to May 31. The Galaxy rank first in the Western Conference in points-per-game (1.7 ppg; 14 GP, 24 pts) dating back to May 31, and rank fourth overall in the league behind only Orlando City SC (2.0 ppg; 15 GP, 30 pts), the Columbus Crew (1.9 ppg; 16 GP, 31 pts) and FC Cincinnati (1.8 ppg; 16 GP, 29 pts) during that span. LA (28 GP, 8-11-9, 33 PTS) sits in 13th place in the Western Conference standings with a game in hand and six points behind ninth place FC Dallas (29 GP, 10-10-9, 39 PTS).
