
LA Galaxy Re-Sign Goalkeeper Brian Perk

CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015) - The LA Galaxy have re-signed goalkeeper Brian Perk, the club announced today. Perk has spent the previous five seasons with the Galaxy since joining in 2010. Per MLS and club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Perk, 25, joined the Galaxy when he was claimed off of waivers from the Philadelphia Union on Aug. 4, 2010. In five years with the club, he has made seven starts in goal while recording two shutouts. In 2014, Perk went undefeated in his two starts with the Galaxy, earning a draw on the road against Real Salt Lake March 22 and recording a victory April 6 at StubHub Center against Chivas USA.
In 2014, Perk also contributed to Galaxy II in USL PRO, playing in five matches during Los Dos' inaugural season.
A four-year standout at UCLA, Perk started in all 61 one of his appearances as a Bruin, earning a 29-18-12 record, a 1.01 goals against average and 16 clean sheets in addition to helping his team reach the NCAA Tournament in each of his four years.
