LA Galaxy Orange County Women's Team to Begin Competition in United Women's Soccer League

LOS ANGELES - The LA Galaxy Orange County Alliance Club has launched the LA Galaxy Orange County Women's Team, which will compete in United Women's Soccer (UWS), the second-highest division for women's soccer in the United States. The LA Galaxy Orange County Women's Team will kick off their inaugural UWS season this Saturday, May 26 at 6 p.m. PT at Master's College.

The LAGOC Women's Team roster is made up of top class female athletes who are graduates of many local clubs and high schools. The team consists of 26 players from Orange County who are currently enrolled in or recently graduated from Division I colleges around the country such as USC, UCLA, Notre Dame and many more. The LAGOC Women's Team also includes international players from Japan, Ghana and Australia, who all have National Team experience with their respective countries.

Scott Juniper, who is also the Women's Head Coach at University of California, Irvine, is the LAGOC Women's Team Head Coach. His staff is rounded out by assistant coaches P.J. Woolridge, Justine Sauder and Janelly Farias.

The team will play in the Championship Stadium at Orange County Great Park, which seats up to 5,000 on the campus of Orange County's premier recreation destination. Championship Stadium at OC Great Park offers professional locker rooms and training facilities, concession areas and an interactive Fan Zone and a club-level party loft viewing deck.

The LAGOC Women's Team will play a total of 10 games in UWS this season, traveling to Calgary (CAN), Colorado, Utah, Crescenta Valley and Santa Clarita. A full schedule can be found on uws.lagalaxyoc.com/schedule. They will make their home debut on Saturday, June 2 at 7 p.m. PT against the Real Salt Lake Women.

Tickets to home games can be purchased on the LA Galaxy Orange County Women's Team website, uws.lagalaxyoc.com, at the inexpensive price of $10 per adult, $5 for kids (children under 3 are free).
