LOS ANGELES - In Week 16 of the 2021 USL Championship campaign, LA Galaxy II came from behind to earn a 3-2 win over Orange County SC at Championship Soccer Stadium on Saturday night. Daniel Aguirre registered the game-winning goal and an assist in the win at Orange County, while Preston Judd notched his team-leading eighth goal of the 2021 campaign.
LA Galaxy II Against Orange County SC
Saturday's contest marked the fourth meeting between the two sides in 2021, with Galaxy II leading the season series 3-0-1. Los Dos have tallied 11 goals against Orange County this year, while they have conceded seven goals. LA and Orange County play once more this season at Dignity Health Sports Park on Oct. 30.
Goal-Scoring Plays
OC - Chris Wehan (Ronaldo Damus), 30th minute: Ronaldo Damus forced a turnover on the left side in his own half and quickly sent an angled pass to Chris Wehan breaking centrally. Wehan's first touch took him past the last defender and the he lifted a finish into the left corner.
LA- Preston Judd (Daniel Aguirre), 45th minute: Daniel Aguirre's clever flicked pass allowed Preston Judd to turn his man and fire home a low finish for his eighth goal of the season.
LA - Carlos Harvey (Josh Drack), 62nd minute: After being awarded a free kick on the left, Los Dos took it short to Josh Drack to create a different angle for the cross at the top-left corner of the penalty area, and his delivery picked out the Panamanian international for a header at the top of the six-yard area into the left corner of the net.
OC - Ronaldo Damus (Michael Orozco), 67th minute: A long throw-in from the right by Brent Richards was flicked on at the near post by Michael Orozco and found Damus, who quickly snapped a finish home into the right corner of the net for his ninth goal of the campaign.
LA - Daniel Aguirre (Owen Lambe), 87th minute: Aguirre received a pass from Owen Lambe in the left channel and moved centrally before rifling home a low finish that tucked just inside the left post
