INDIO, Calif. - The LA Galaxy closed out 2024 Coachella Valley Invitational play by earning a 2-0 shutout victory over the New York Red Bulls at the Empire Polo Club on Saturday morning.
Goal-Scoring Plays
LA - Riqui Puig (Penalty Kick), 45th minute: After Jonathan Pérez was fouled inside the penalty area, Riqui Puig's ensuing penalty kick was fired into the bottom left corner of the goal.
LA - Julián Aude, 86th minute: Julián Aude received the ball at midfield and dribbled past two Red Bulls defenders into the penalty area. Aude's ensuing shot was initially blocked, but he was first to the loose ball and fired his shot through New York's goalkeeper's legs from close range.
