LOS ANGELES - The LA Galaxy today announced programming details for their home match against the San Jose Earthquakes, presented by Soonhari, at Dignity Health Sports Park on Sunday, April 21 (5:15 p.m. PT; Free on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, FS1, FOX Deportes).
Pregame Party At Galaxy Park
Fans are encouraged to stop by the pregame party at Galaxy Park, where they can take part in a wide range of activities before gates open at 3:30 p.m. PT for Sunday's match between LA and San Jose. For more information on Galaxy Park, click here.
Fan Giveaway
A limited supply of player-signed 2024 LA Galaxy One Planet Pre-Match Top will be included in the Dignity Health T-Shirt Toss prior to the match between the Galaxy and Earthquakes kicking off. Additionally, Soonhari will be providing 10,000 LA Galaxy x Soonhari co-branded LED keychains for fans to grab as they exit the match.
Z-Trip Pregame DJ Set
Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the 100th all-time meeting between the LA Galaxy and San Jose as Z-Trip will be the featured DJ for Sunday's set. With a renewed focus on transforming the in-stadium fan experience, LA Galaxy home matches during the 2024 MLS Regular Season will have a pregame and halftime DJ set to excite and entertain fans of the club.
Merchandise
The 2024 LA Galaxy One Planet Pre-Match Top, the Angeleno Kit and the Kit Hook Collection are all available for purchase at the LA Galaxy Team Store.
SoccerFest
Alumni autographs return at SoccerFest, with former LA Galaxy players Alan Gordon and Sean Franklin on hand to greet fans from 3:45 - 4:45 p.m. PT. Cozmo's Cadets, the LA Galaxy Foundation and LA Galaxy Programming will have their usual booths at SoccerFest, with Coca Cola, the Garden School Foundation, Juglife Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club also in attendance. Fans can take a virtual selfie with their favorite Galaxy stars in the Recharge with Dignity Health Area. The NW Pad, located outside the NW stadium gate, will have Volkswagen, the Kinecta Ice Cream truck, the LA Times and the LA Galaxy Merch Truck on site.
LA Galaxy Foundation
The LA Galaxy Foundation will be auctioning off player signed 2024 One Planet Pre-Match tops. The online auction will open on Sunday, April 21 at 1:15 p.m. PT and will close at the 75th minute of the match. Fans can text GALAXY to 76278 to bid. The Hero of the Match is United States Army Specialist Sarkis Boyadjian. Specialist Boyadijan's personal awards include two Presidential Unit Citations, an Iraq Campaign Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and a Parachute Badge. The Community Partner of the Match is Garden School Foundation. Fans can visit their booth in SoccerFest to learn more about how they provide in-depth garden-based education to youth at Title I schools in Los Angeles.
Protect The Pitch
Kicking off Earth Month, the LA Galaxy will re-launch their "Protect the Pitch" program at Dignity Health Sports Park with California Redemption Value (CRV) implementation. With the help of LA Galaxy Academy athletes, fans will be encouraged to recycle their cans and bottles during LA Galaxy matchdays. All proceeds from the program will go back to local Carson schools to help purchase soccer equipment for the youth.
Extra Time
DJ GREG will be performing for fans at Extra Time, the LA Galaxy's post-match party in the American Express Stadium Club, following the match against San Jose until 9:00 p.m. PT.
Match Information
Following a 3-1 win on the road over Vancouver Whitecaps FC at BC Place on Saturday, April 13, the LA Galaxy return home to play host to the San Jose Earthquakes at Dignity Heath Sports Park on Sunday, April 21 (7:30 p.m. PT; Free on MLS Season Pass, FS1, FOX Deportes).
Sunday's match marks the 100th edition across all competitions of the California Clásico between the Galaxy and the San Jose Earthquakes, with LA leading the all-time series 47-33-19 (159 GF, 139 GA). Against San Jose, LA holds a 38-28-17 record in league play, a 4-1-1 record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and a 5-4-1 record in the MLS Cup Playoffs. In 46 all-time matches played at home across all competitions against the Earthquakes, the Galaxy hold a record of 28-12-6 (82 GF, 58 GA). LA is unbeaten in its last five regular-season matches played against San Jose (4-0-1; 13 GF, 8 GA) dating back to Sept. 24, 2022. Notably, Dejan Joveljić has six goal contributions (5 goals, 1 assist) in seven career regular-season matches played (4 starts) against San Jose.
