LA Galaxy Announce Programming Details for Home Match against Austin FC on Saturday, April 22

LOS ANGELES - The LA Galaxy today announced programming details for their home match against Austin FC, a match presented by Modelo, at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, April 22 (7:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass on Apple TV; LA Galaxy Radio, LA Galaxy Spanish Radio).

On-Field

The Galaxy will wear the adidas One Planet Kit in celebration of Earth Day and our planet. The One Planet Kit is made entirely out of Parley Ocean plastic: re-imagined plastic waste intercepted from beaches and coastal communities.

SoccerFest

SoccerFest will be full with three community partners in FUTBL.ORG, Garden School Foundation and SA Recycling. FUTBL.ORG will be running a cleat drive at their booth located on the Northwest Pad. Fans are encouraged to bring gently used cleats that will be donated to kids who need them locally and abroad.

LA Galaxy Foundation

The LA Galaxy Foundation will auction off game-worn and player-signed One Planet Kits. The LA Galaxy collaborated with Tuesday Pickup on two upcycled football vases. Tuesday Pickup is a small business that creates one-off items with upcycled football materials. These two limited-edition pieces will be auctioned with all proceeds benefitting the LA Galaxy Foundation. The online auction will open at 3:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, April 22 and will close at the 75th minute of the match. Fans can text GALAXY to 76278 to bid. Leading into the match, the LA Galaxy Foundation will host a volunteer event on Wednesday, April 19 for MLS' Greener Goals Week of Service in partnership with Garden School Foundation at Annalee Avenue Elementary School in Carson, Calif.

Armenian Heritage Night

The LA Galaxy will also celebrate Armenian Heritage Night, and the National Anthem will be performed by Suren Arustamyan, an Armenian-born guitarist, singer and songwriter. Drawn to music at the age of 14, he began playing the guitar, formed his first band in 2007 and started playing live show for blues-rock lovers in his hometown of Yerevan. Suren followed his passion and landed a spot on the talent competition show Armenian Idol in 2009, which quickly made him a popular household name. The Hero of The Match will be Staff Sergeant Arno Youssefian of the United States Marine Corps.

Merchandise

The Earth Day character shirt and crewneck and youth tee, the black and green single-tone hat and the Locally Grown, Globally Known tee, in brown for Earth Day, will be the Galaxy's featured new retail items for the match against Austin FC.

Extra Time

All fans are welcome to stop by Extra Time, the LA Galaxy's post-match party, with DJ GREG providing music in the American Express Stadium Club following the game.

Tickets for the April 22 match are available at www.lagalaxy.com/tickets. Saturday's home match at Dignity Health Sports Park between the LA Galaxy (0-4-3, 3 points) and Austin FC (2-3-2, 8 points) marks the fifth regular-season meeting between the two clubs, with the Galaxy leading the all-time series 3-1-0. In two matches played at home against Austin, LA holds an unbeaten record of 2-0-0 (6 GF, 1 GA). In the last meeting between the two teams at Dignity Health Sports Park, the Galaxy earned a 4-1 win over Austin on May 29, 2022, with LA Galaxy forward Dejan Joveljić becoming the first player in MLS history to contribute to four goals (2 goals, 2 assists) as a substitute in a single match.
