LA Galaxy News Release
LOS ANGELES- The LA Galaxy and StubHub Center have collaborated to improve transit and parking options for LA Galaxy fans ahead of the 2017 MLS Regular Season. In addition to providing fans with some of the most affordable parking options for sporting events in Los Angeles, LA Galaxy and StubHub Center have launched Galaxy Express, a free shuttle service bringing LA Galaxy fans to and from two major LA Metro stations. Early arrival remains the best option for a convenient parking experience at StubHub Center. Fans are encouraged to take the Galaxy Express when the LA Galaxy take on FC Dallas at StubHub Center on Saturday, March 4 at 1 p.m. PT live on Univision.
"The LA Galaxy and StubHub Center have worked collectively to mitigate traffic concerns and provide a variety of parking options at StubHub Center to allow for convenient access to LA Galaxy matches throughout the 2017 season," said StubHub Center General Manager Katie Pandolfo. "We are always looking for ways to improve our fan services and operations as they are key to the world-class experience we provide here at StubHub Center. These improvements should provide cost-effective solutions for all Galaxy fans attending matches at StubHub Center."
With a focus on affordability and expediting on-site transaction times, LA Galaxy and StubHub Center will offer parking to patrons at $20 per car. Galaxy fans can save on parking by purchasing a season parking pass, available by contacting a Galaxy sales representative at 877-3GALAXY. Season parking passes are bundled at a rate of $12.50 per game, for a total of 37.5% savings off the game day gate price. The LA Galaxy and StubHub Center also offer a $10 parking option, available to fans entering through Gate G or Gate H off of Central Avenue.
In partnership with Long Beach Transit, LA Galaxy and StubHub Center have launched Galaxy Express, a free shuttle service that will take Galaxy fans to and from the Harbor Gateway Transit Center as well as the Del Amo Station. The Galaxy Express will allow patrons the chance to make their way to StubHub Center from anywhere in Los Angeles using LA Metro. For fans driving, parking at both transit stations is free.
The Galaxy Express will operate every 10 minutes beginning 90 minutes before kickoff and run through the game's 15th minute. The shuttle will then operate for 45 minutes after the game ends. Galaxy Express will pick-up soccer fans from the Harbor Gateway Transit Center, 731 W. 182nd St., Gardena, where there are 980 parking spaces, and the Del Amo Station of the Metro Blue Line, 20220 Santa Fe Ave., Los Angeles, where there are 332 spaces.
The LA Galaxy and StubHub Center also provide dedicated drop off areas for Uber, which fans are encouraged to take to any match at StubHub Center. New users can receive a discount by registering through the LA Galaxy at uber.com/go/galaxy2017. Fans can use the designated Uber pick up/drop off zone located at the top of Gate A off of Avalon Blvd.
Galaxy fans are encouraged to take the Metro Silver Line to the Harbor Gateway Transit Center or take the Metro Blue Line to the Del Amo Station. Transit customers should buy round-trip fares to avoid waiting in lines for the return trip.
The LA Galaxy will kick off the 2017 MLS Season on Saturday, March 4 at StubHub Center when they host FC Dallas at 1 p.m. PT live on Univision. LA Galaxy Season Ticket Memberships for the 2017 MLS season are available for purchase now.
