OMAHA, NE: Kyle Fisher was the Vice President/Baseball Operations for the Omaha Royals. After spending the past 22 years working in professional sports, the last nine of which were with the Royals, Fisher today takes over the reigns of Omaha 's professional indoor football team. Â
           "Kyle adds valuable experience to the team. We are glad to have him onboard with his background and community involvement. This is one more indication that the Omaha Beef are building the best franchise for indoor football," said Jeff Sprowls, managing partner of the Beef.
           "This is an exciting change to gain new experiences and to return to the general manager's desk as the Sr VP / GM of the Omaha Beef. I look forward to the challenges and continued development of Omaha 's favorite indoor football team," said Fisher.

           Prior to joining the Royals in 2001, Fisher served as the general manager of the Helena Brewers in the rookie Pioneer League. He had previously worked in professional baseball for the Burlington Bees, Aberdeen Pheasants, Lancaster JetHawks and the Augusta GreenJackets. He began his career in professional sports in 1986 as a part-time sales representative with the O-Royals.
           The Aurora , Nebraska native earned his bachelor's degree in business administration and physical education from Nebraska Wesleyan University . He resides in Springfield , Nebraska with his wife, Phyllis and son Travis. In the community, Kyle is a member of Downtown Omaha Rotary, Offutt Advisory Council, and is President of the South Sarpy 46 Board of Education.
            The Beef open their 2010 season at The Slaughterhouse (Omaha Civic Auditorium) on Saturday, February 20th with an exhibition game. The regular season starts on March 6th at 7:05 p.m. facing the Sioux Falls Storm. 2010 season tickets, mini-plans and other ticket packages are currently on sale. For more information, contact the Beef office at (402) 346-2333.
            The Omaha Beef is proud to be one of the longest running and most consistent indoor teams of all time in any capacity starting their 11th season. Omaha is also the home of the 2009 Dance Team of the Year (Prime Time Dancers) and the Mascot of the year (Sir Loin) of the IFL.Â
