SAN DIEGO - The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today that San Diego Sockers forward Kraig Chiles has been named the Player of the Week for Week Five of the 2018-2019 MASL Season. This is the first Player of the Week award for the Sockers and Chiles this season.
Chiles, the Sockers all-time leading scorer, got his two-game week off to a great start on Boxing Day against the Dallas Sidekicks. Chiles had three of his team's first four goals, then added another goal and an assist in the fourth quarter. Then on Friday in Monterrey, he added another goal plus an assist to Cesar Cerda on the game-winning score.
The veteran forward will hope to continue his momentum as the San Diego Sockers face a two-game weekend. They travel north to face the Turlock Express on Friday at 7:05 p.m. before hosting rivals, the Ontario Fury, on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. ET. Both games can be seen live, along with all the games across the league, on MASL.tv at MASLSoccer.com.
