Kondratiev and Tyutin to return to Russia Defensive pair leave November 15

Hartford, November 10, 2004: Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the club will be assigning defensive pair Maxim Kondratiev and Fedor Tyutin to teams in Russia as of November 15. Kondratiev will join Lada Togliatti and Tyutin will join SKA St. Petersburg to play the remainder of the season, or until the NHL labor dispute is settled. The New York Rangers maintain the right to recall the players when NHL play resumes.

"Although we hate to see these two quality defensemen leave the club, it really is a win-win situation," said Schoenfeld. "Maxim and Fedor will continue their development by playing in a very competitive environment in Russia, and we now have the opportunity to elevate two of a number of terrific prospects who are currently with our ECHL affiliate in Charlotte."

Kondratiev and Tyutin will leave the club on Monday, November 15, after the club completes a four games in five nights stint with back-to-back games against Providence on Saturday and Sunday. The team also plays on Friday at home against the Worcester IceCats.

The AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack hockey club is part of Madison Square Garden LP. Cablevision Systems Corporation owns a controlling interest in MSG LP, which also includes the New York Rangers (NHL), New York Knicks (NBA), the New York Liberty (WNBA), the MSG Network, Fox Sports Net and the Madison Square Garden arena complex.
